Amy grew up in beautiful Pembrokeshire in West Wales before moving to London to study Printed Textiles and Decorative Arts. Whilst living there she worked in Notting Hill for an interior design business as a consultant and teacher whilst also carrying out private commissions.

After a tour of Mexico, which she'd always dreamed of, her passion for colour and culture was unleashed and continues to dominate her work today.

She is constantly inspired by colour, symbols, textures and patterns from various cultures, particularly Mexican, Indian and Moroccan.

Her paintings are various sizes although she does like to work in large format, and to use a range of media including Italian plaster, gold and silver leaf, acrylics and pigments.

She enjoys experimenting with all of the above to create artwork richly layered with colour and texture to produce intense, vibrant and provocative images which capture the spirit of these cultures.
