To begin, layers of Italian plaster are applied through hand-cut stencils to give texture and shape to the design. A single painting can have up to 15 layers of plaster.

The work is then washed with acrylics, emulsions and pigments and finished with dutch metal gold, silver or copper leaf.

Fine brushwork adds detail at the final stage. The process takes time and

patience and Amy allows the

painting to evolve throughout

each stage.
