My Mindful Menopause was a year-long art project in which Amy explored and documented her feelings and emotions as she journeyed through this phase of her life. Each day, she approached her journal with the same brush, the same set of paints, and the same square, everything remained constant except for her emotions, which brought something new to each page.
This method of journaling became a visual record of how her feelings and emotions shifted from day to day. It offered a therapeutic and rewarding way to track her ever-changing moods. She found the process of self-exploration cathartic and was always curious to see what would emerge—colours, insights, and images, particularly the recurring figure standing alone.
