Recently returned from holiday in France and got a chance to visit Grotte Chauvet. It was amazing even though it was a replica of the original cave discovered in 1994 which is nearby. The original cave is closed to the public so this is the next best thing but was done so well, it was worth the visit. So inspirational, the artwork is breathtaking and the whole place has a magical feel about it. To think that our ancestors were drawing on these walls in this area around 36,000 years ago just blows my mind!
